About me

Violinist, violist, and educator Anika Meisel has a passion for both performing and teaching. Originally a Seattleite, she earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Oregon, where she studied violin with Anthea Kreston and viola with Arnaud Ghillebaert. Anika is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music Performance at the University of Delaware under Guillaume Combet (violin) and Elias Goldstein (viola).

Anika is an active performer, having played with the Olympia Symphony, Rogue Valley Symphony, and Eugene Concert Choir Orchestra, among others. She has also participated in renowned programs such as Orchestra NEXT and Inside Music Academy, where she won first place in the viola division of the Inside Music Academy Concerto Competition in both 2023 and 2024. In 2019, she was a semifinalist in the Osaka International Music Competition. Anika has performed in masterclasses for esteemed musicians, including Shmuel Katz (MET Orchestra) and Chian Lim (Academy of St. Martin in the Fields).

As an educator, Anika has worked with students of all ages and backgrounds. Previous positions include teaching with Inside Music Academy (Corvallis, OR), various Seattle Youth Symphony programs, and Seattle Music Partners. She has also served as a Guest Lecturer in Music at the University of Delaware. Anika currently serves as Violin Studio Teaching Assistant at the University of Delaware.
